Biography
John Dee (1527–1609) was an English mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, teacher, occultist, and alchemist. He served as court astrologer and advisor to Queen Elizabeth I, and coined the term "British Empire."
Dee was also a brilliant mathematician who advocated for mathematics education and navigation science. He developed the Enochian magical system with his scryer Edward Kelley, which has become foundational to modern ceremonial magic.
