Biography

Dion Fortune (born Violet Mary Firth, 1890–1946) was a British occultist, ceremonial magician, and author. She founded the Society of the Inner Light and was a significant figure in the early 20th-century occult revival.

Fortune was also a psychologist and her work bridged the gap between psychological insight and occult practice. She wrote extensively on Qabalah, psychic self-defense, and Western esotericism.
